I have also earned a $500 scholarship from an Elks lodge and am currently competing for My daughter has the Florida bright fuures scholarship which she uses to pay her housing and the Florida pre-paid that we bought 20 years ago that pays about 3/4 of her tution. I was told the bright futures was taxable and put it on her return as she had a small amount of earnings this year.
