Buying odd lots of stock

Oddlot Market is equivalent to the Odd Lot Board in the old trading system. Under the New Trading System, orders with volume less than the defined Board lot are traded in the Oddlot Market . In short, any stock order with volume as multiples of a board lot can only be placed in the Normal/Main Board Market. If people really are buying 100 shares all the time investing seems off putting because all trades will be above $1,000 for any stock more than $10. There's always the option to save enough money to purchase the shares, but then the process of investing becomes slow and tedious. Does anyone else trade odd lots? What are your experiences? To sell an odd lot, set the limit price to the current bid price. To buy an odd lot, set the limit price to the current ask price. In most cases, you will get a fill (assuming that bid/ask don't move).
